Getting Started on RTTY - Page 1
We will begin by installing the program that will get you started on RTTY. It is called MMTTY. It's available from the MM HamSoft website. On the MM HamSoft website, there is a link to the MMTTY home page which is located at http://hamsoft.ca/pages/mmtty.php.
Scroll down to the Downloads section and click on MMTTY168A.exe (Full Version) as shown below.
When you click on the download link shown above, you will see the standard download screen. When the download screen appears, you will have the option to either Run or Save. To install MMTTY, simply choose the Run option and follow the instructions on the screen. During the installation process, you will have the option to where you want to install MMTTY. If you are running Windows 98 or Windows XP, go ahead and allow MMTTY to be installed in the default location C:\Program Files\MMTTY\. If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7, change the location to C:\MMTTY or any other location OTHER THAN C:\Program Files\MMTTY. If you are unfamiliar with installing programs off the Internet, click here for detailed instructions.
If you plan to install MMTTY on another computer that is not connected to the Internet, or simply want to keep a copy of the MMTTY installation program, you can choose to Save the file to your hard drive for installation at a later time or on another computer.
