Don's Duck Page
I'm an avid Duck Hunter.  The marshes of southeast Louisiana are an excellent place to hunt ducks. Although I'm not originally from Louisiana, I've lived here for over 20 years and have been hunting ducks about 15 years.  Louisiana is truly a Sportsman's Paradise.

My good friend, Joe Pecot, got me started in duck hunting.  Joe and I still hunt together every year near the mouth of the Mississippi River west of Venice, Louisiana.  The most common ducks we see down here are
Mottled Ducks, Gadwalls, Widgeon, Mallards, Pintail, and Teal.  We probably see more Green-winged Teal and Blue-winged Teal than any other kind of duck.

I hope to continue adding more pictures of our duck outings.  Keep checking back for updates.

Catching bull reds between hunts.  This is the biggest redfish I've ever caught - estimated at 24 lbs.  I let him go, too big to eat.  Joe's brother Dick fishing behind me.
